Cozy Bean ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Anonymous identifier. When you first open the App, we automatically create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. No email address or password is required. This identifier is stored locally on your device and in Firebase to maintain your progress across sessions.

Display name (optional). You may choose a display name that is visible to other users in community features. You are not required to use your real name.

Check-in photos. Photos you take for daily check-ins are saved locally on your device (in the App's private storage) and also backed up to Firebase Storage for restoration purposes. They are accessible only to you.

Posts and community content. If you create posts or comments in communities, that content is stored in Firebase Firestore and is visible to other App users.

App usage data. We store your in-app progress locally on your device (beans, diamonds, purchased items, check-in history) and sync a copy to Firebase Firestore to preserve your data across reinstalls.

Device storage. The App uses your device's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) for offline caching. No data from local storage is shared with third parties.

2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following Google Firebase services, which are subject to Google's Privacy Policy:

Firebase stores data on servers located in the United States.

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Anonymous accounts that have not been active for 12 months may be deleted. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us (see Section 6).

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Your Rights and Contact
